Location and travelling

The (northern) Frankenjura is appropriate in southern Germany, more exactly in Franconia (the northern part of Bavaria), and thus in the middle of Central Europe.
The area is limited in the west by the city Bamberg and the region Nuernberg-Fuerth-Erlangen, at its eastern edge are situated the cities Bayreuth and Amberg-Sulzbach.

Many ways lead into the "climbing country":
There are a lot of motorways tying up from all directions: From north such as south you will reach Frankenjura by using the A9, from the west coming leads from direction Frankfurt the A3, from Heidelberg the A6 directly in the Franconia country. Coming from Tschechien, thus from the east, one achieves Frankenjura likewise by means of the A6. |
